A Pakistani intruder was killed and another arrested on Tuesday as the Border Security Force (BSF) foiled their attempts to infiltrate this side from across the International Border (IB) in Jammu and Kashmir, according to a BSF spokesperson.

Infiltration attempts were foiled by alert troops in Jammu's Arnia sector and Samba's Ramgarh sector in the early hours of the day, according to a BSF spokesperson.

He further said that the BSF opened fire on a Pakistani intruder who was seen aggressively approaching the border fence in the Arnia sector.

The intruder was called to stop, but he did not listen. Seeing no other option, the troops opened fire and killed him,” according to the spokesperson.

In another incident, a Pakistani intruder was apprehended as he approached the fencing after crossing the IB in the Ramgarh sector, according to the spokesperson.

“After opening the gate, he was led inside the Indian side of the fence. So far, nothing incriminating has been discovered in his possession,” according to the spokesperson.

According to him, the entire area in both sectors is being thoroughly searched.
