Israel Is Considering To Send Its ‘Iron Dome’ To Ukraine, Says PM Netanyahu

The report suggests that the Israeli PM's decision of sending the missile is considered only because Ukraine is continuously pleading for military support

Amidst the Russia-Ukraine war, Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu notified the center is considering, sending its most advanced missile defense system ‘Iron Dome’ to Ukraine, according to a media report.

Reports suggest the Israeli PM stated, the sending of the missile is considered only because Ukraine is continuously pleading for military support.

Further while addressing broadcast media Netanyahu said, I am just looking into the matter and refrain from commenting in detail.

Meanwhile, the country has earlier sent equipment like helmets, protective vests and humanitarian aid to Israel's government. Sending a highly designed missile that can intercept barrages of rockets and artillery shells would mark the country’s first lethal military aid to Ukraine.

While reports claim Ukraine has formally requested for Iron Dome, Netanyahu has not confirmed the matter suggesting he is currently focusing on establishing the country’s government and can’t make any firm commitment to helping the east European country.

Israel has a complex relationship with Russia over both countries’ activities in Syria and the sending of the Iron Dome to Ukraine is likely to heat a new global crisis.
