Synergia Foundation Opens the Session On Security amid Geo Political Uncertainty

The Future of Security-Beyond the Curve, Initiated by Synergia Foundation opens its session today. Centered on the theme "The Future of Digital Security and Geopolitical Uncertainty and Emergence of Future Security Ecosystems", discussion will continue on the geopolitical shift in relation to India among the experts gathered from across the world.

The Future of Security-Beyond the Curve, opens its session today, holding on the issues of  "The Future of Digital Security and Geopolitical Uncertainty and Emergence of Future Security Ecosystems". Distinguished speakers such as M.K. Narayanan,  Former National Security Advisor and Governor of West Bengal; Uzi Arad, Former National Security Advisor to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu; Shivshankar Menon, Former NSA and Foreign Secretary; Rutger Van Zuidam, Founder Odyssey and Krishnan Srinivasan, Former Foreign Secretary exchanged their views on the critical issues on Security.

Experts from diverse fields of security, law enforcement, defence, cyber security and strategic planning gather in the city gathered to share their knowledge and insights on a variety of topics including US-China Technology War, The Future of Digital (Cyber Security), India’s Shaping Role in the New World Order and Reimagining Intelligence. Synergia Foundation, an independent  think tank inaugurated its 7th Biennial Conclave at the Taj West End in Bangalore

The session was attended by Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka, C.N. Ashwath Narayan,  T.M. Vijay Bhaskar - Chief Secretary of Karnataka, Sanjay Jaju – Joint Secretary, Ministry of Defence, M.K. Narayanan – Former National Security Adviser and Governor of West Bengal and  P.S. Raghavan – Chairman National Security Advisory Board.  

 A key highlight also included a talk by Marconi Prize recipient Dr Arogyaswami Paulraj who spoke about 5G, AI, Cloud and Industry 4.0.  5G being a topic that The Synergia Foundation have closely worked on with the Dept. of Telecom in creating a framework and policy recommendations for  the secure deployment and development of new indigenous 5G technologies.

“Governments, Industry and Academia need to adapt to ever changing paradigms in geopolitics and security. Global risks are mutating and that is why we collectively need to find solutions. The aim of the Conclave is to give key stakeholders a 360-degree perspective of risk and turn these risks into opportunities," said Tobby Simon, Founder and President of Synergia Foundation at the Inauguration.

Tobby Simon further remarked: "The Synergia Foundation impacts policy at both a national and state level whether its through our whitepapers or policy recommendations on 5G and Aerospace and this Conclave is a culmination of key takeaways from various stakeholders who have identified the need to know about these topics that affect us."  

"Our endeavour is to facilitate the exchange of ideas that challenge global security and sustainability. We’re proud to drive this narrative as we know how important it is not only for governments but also for individuals and businesses to be aware of these threats in all their forms and be prepared to protect themselves and their businesses," said Simon while concluding the day first of the eclectic session.

The second day of the Conclave will see renowned speakers such as Admiral Dennis C. Blair – Former US Director of National Intelligence; Admiral Tim Fraser CB – UK Vice Chief of Defence Staff; Ms Aruna Sundararajan, Former Telecom Secretary, GOI; Frank Wisner – Former US diplomat; Shyam Saran - Former Foreign Secretary; Joseph Felter – Former US Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defence among others. Topics on Resolving Conflicts in the Cyber Space and the need for a resilient 5G ecosystem will be at the top of the agenda.  Tomorrow, on the second day, the focus will be on the India’s Shaping Role in the New World Order, Future of Security and The Post Caliphate threat in Asia.
