India - Australia Virtual Leaders’ Summit 2020: Opening for the definitive & strategic partnership?

In the wake of first virtual Leaders’ Summit between Australia’s Prime Minister Scott Morrison and PM Modi held on 4th June, BW Businessworld’ s Manish Kumar Jha speaks with High Commissioner of Australia, Barry O’Farrell on the momentous occasion. The first India Australia Virtual Summit 2020 is breakthrough in building a Comprehensive and strategic Partnership. But concrete measures and mechanism are yet to take shape in defence & security. While the Mutual Logistics Support Agreement (MLSA) with India is foundational, the joint collaboration with Indian defence industry must be on the pipeline as both are net importer of defence equipment.
