Indian Army Chief General Manoj Pande flew the combat helicopter, Prachand on the inaugural day of Aero India on Monday

A new boost in Indian Army, the indigenously developed light combat helicopter (LCH) Prachand will now be a part of the military force.

Indian Army Chief General Manoj Pande flew the combat helicopter, Prachand on the inaugural day of Aero India on Monday.

Commenting on the advanced, easily assisted helicopter, General Pande said, He is impressed with the features of the helicopter and tagged the chopper ‘manoeuvrability’. 

He said the LCH is capable of meeting the military battle requirement 

LCH weighs 5.5 tons, a class fighting helicopter designed and developed by HAL, Pande added.

He emphasised that the nation is putting great effort to build a system to face the war-like crisis ahead. And in the next, eight to ten years will be ready with completely indigenous systems.

He also mentioned the global tension with the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict and stressed the need to be self-reliant in niche technologies to fight the future war.

Meanwhile, LCH, Prachand pins great security amidst the war-like situation worldwide.
