Indian Coast Guard, ATS Capture Drugs Worth Rs 200 Cr From Pak Boat

A Pakistani boat was seized with 40 kgs of drugs along with six crew members onboard

The Indian Coast Guard (ICG) and Anti-Terror Squad (ATS), Gujarat apprehended a Pakistani boat, carrying approximately 40 kilograms of drugs worth Rs 200 crore on Wednesday. 

In a joint operation by ICG and ATS, the boat was seized five miles inside of the Indian waters and 40 nautical miles from Jakhau, Gujarat with six Pak nationals onboard. 

On the night of September 13-14, ICG deployed two fast interceptor classes of ships C-408 and C-454 for patrolling in the area close to the International Maritime Border Line (IMBL) on the basis of intelligence inputs by ATS Gujarat.

All arrested six people along with the boat were brought to Jakhau and ordered for further investigation. In the last one year, this is the fifth joint operation by the ICG and ATS, Gujarat.
