US Lawmaker Alerts India Against Chinese-tainted Russian Weapons

A top US lawmaker has alerted India against "compromised" Chinese elements in technology, according to a media report on Tuesday.
The reports state India might have imported the element of technology from Russia in view of growing ties between Moscow and Beijing.
Commenting on the matter Raja Krishnamoorthi, ranking member of the House Select Committee on the Strategic Competition between the US and the Communist Party of China (CCP) said, we don’t want to stick in a situation where for some reason, we are using the technology given by Russians and that's compromised by the CCP to India or others that could be taken advantage of by the CCP.
He added we are likely to have a detailed conversation with our governments in regard to a whole range of technology that we believe is critical to our collective security.
The compromised parts are estimated to give a window to China to peep into the Indian defence systems, or into the American hardware being used by Indians.
Amidst the US-India defence cooperation, India’s purchase of American sensitive-technology military hardware concerns, Russia’s access to the US equipment flooding the Indian armouries. The concern is held chief by Americans as they press India without success, to cancel its order for the Russian S-400 air missile defence system. They also mark that the presence of Russian equipment will hamper interoperability between the militaries of India and the US.
Meanwhile, Krishnamoorthi underlines the American public urge for India to review its ties with Russia in view of the growing proximity.
He said, “I don’t think that the CCP and the Russians have entered into an unholy relationship right now with regard to Ukraine and other matters that don’t serve in the best long-term interests of the world.”
He further notified the committee's charter will investigate and report upon the challenges surfing around the economic, technological and national security posed by the Chinese Communist Party.
